When Cupcakes was smaller. . .

Mama found these pictures of Uncle Michael reading to Cupcakes on the built-in memory of her camera from about a month ago (9/21).

Drying off after a shower

Wow, Cupcakes' two teeth have grown a lot taller in a week. You can see them when she has her mouth open now. Cupcakes talked to Daddy while she was getting dried. She brushes her teeth with Mama before bedtime. (They also brush her teeth after lunch at daycare.)

A very happy baby

Cupcakes is very well loved everywhere she goes and very consistently at daycare. Her smiles reflect a very happy baby.

Bridal gown shopping

Cupcakes went bridal gown shopping with Auntie Boo for her wedding in Hawaii in January. Cupcakes was very good the whole time. We cannot reveal Auntie Boo's choice at this time, but we can share that she is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l in it.

Dress for Uncle Scott's wedding

Cupcakes frowned and smiled within seconds.

She has her new 4T Baby Gap holiday vest that will last a while. Thank you, ahgong and ahma for new vest and for babysitting Cupcakes while daycare was closed for a day.

Growing fast

Cupcakes had several interesting stories this week.

1. Mama forgot to bring a clean swaddling blanket to daycare for Cupcakes. (Yes, several people are surprised to hear that Cupcakes still likes to be swaddled at this age.) New morning teacher Miss Eva did not know and used just another blanket on Cupcakes during the morning nap. Cupcakes looked down to check. She cried when she saw that it was not her blanket.

2. Mama also learned that there is a soft blanket that Cupcakes likes to hold during naps at daycare. (She doesn't hold anything at home.)

3. Cupcakes calls her Puppy "pup-pup."

4. Once Puppy was next to Cupcakes as she was nursing right before bedtime. She would turn to Puppy during each break and give him a kiss (mouth around the paw) - awwww.

5. Cupcakes loves to dance and loves the happy birthday song. She becomes quiet as soon as the song comes on in the car and dances to the song at daycare.

6. Cupcakes' appetite has increased to 4-6 oz of milk and 4 oz of baby food from 4 oz of milk and 2.5 oz of baby food.

7. She has become very mobile, pushing herself up to standing position and sitting back down.

8. She is teething again and had another ear infection. After her chiropractic treatment one morning she wanted to play on the floor even though she didn't feel 100%.

9. Daycare has a bigger blanket for her to play on now that she's bigger. She has her own toys - a cell phone even!

Cupcakes features a new outfit from ahgong and ahma. Mama got her some 12M pants, but they were too long. Grandma got her 9M pants with matching tops. Cupcakes has cute clothes from both ahgong, ahma and also Annika!

Hmmmmm. . .

. . .what should I do today?

Little did Mama know that her quiet days with Cupcakes in the car seat were numbered. As Cupcakes became mobile, she cries, wanting out of the car seat.

Shopping at Costco

Mama's Hello Kitty wallet kept Cupcakes entertained during the whole shopping trip.

Red Robin

Cupcakes checked out the picture of blueberry shake on the menu but stuck to the healthy choice of an organic apple. She's a goodster and doesn't grab our food. However, now that she's more mobile (crawling and all), she's a lot more squirmy in our arms.

Feeding herself for the first time

Cupcakes had grapes and "apple and blueberry" sauce. She fed herself for the first time and did a good job covering the plate with a thin layer of the apple sauce. When she was all done, she studied the apple sauce in her hands.

Cupcakes is well loved. Ahgong and ahma got her a couple Thanksgiving outfits. Ahma got her some Baby Einstein learning cards (spread out all over the floor with a tree one by her knees). Sleepy Pooh from Auntie Angela sang lullabies, said "I am sleepy" from time to time and had a pillow that changed colors. Cupcakes likes to chew on the smaller vocabulary cards (like the one in her hand) that Auntie Boo got her from Hong Kong.

Cupcakes is going to be a butterfly. With her small head the top part of the costume comes over her eyes though. She didn't look too happy in the costume, did she?

McD in North Bend

The McD in North Bend had outside seating. It was so nice that we had to eat outside. Cupcakes played with her little ladybug while Uncle Jason and Daddy waited in line. She also watched a little bird bathe in the little pond and groom itself. Oh yes, she also played in the bark a little.
