Chicken!
Cupcakes had meat for the first time. She had chicken with sweet potato. She fed herself but also enjoyed being fed.
Cupcakes' new shirt
Cupcakes fashions another shirt from her early birthday present - cream with pink thread - cute! She's wearing the next size up of cute jeans from Annika. Cupcakes grew out of the last pair. Thank you, Auntie Lisa!!
Sydney at daycare danced with Cupcakes, and that sent Cupcakes giggling. Camryn loves Cupcakes, too!

Shanghai Hair Studio
Cupcakes and Mama visited with Auntie Julie and Uncle Alan at Shanghai Hair Studio in the junction after going to the stamp store around the corner. Mama has had haircuts from Uncle Alan for longer than ten years - wow. Cupcakes fashions her new vest for her (early) birthday present. (Later Mama learned that she was supposed to have kept this 2T vest for another year.) Daycare teachers says Cupcakes looks Hollywood in it!
Auntie Julie gave Cupcakes a comb to play with. Thank you, Auntie Julie!

Daddy is a godfather.
Cupcakes was asleep in the car when we went to Aunties Kim and Yvonne's house, so Mama stayed in the car with her. An hour later when we went inside, Mama learned that Daddy had become a godfather. Five-month-old baby Michael needed a godfather born in the year of tiger for good luck, and Daddy fit the description.
When Baby Michael leaned forward on the sofa, Cupcakes pulled him back by the shirt as if to prevent him from falling off the sofa - good job, big sis.
One healthy and happy baby
Daddy's back hurt, so we all went to Dr. Graham's. Mama and Daddy both have not been very good about getting regular check-ups since Cupcakes arrived. Mama has shorter hours at work, and buses do not go by Daddy's work. Recently Mama has gotten lucky, getting adjustments when Cupcakes or Daddy has had to see Dr. Graham. Dr. Graham gave Cupcakes a wellness check-up. Since Cupcakes was healthy, she got the check-up for free. Thank you, Dr. Graham!

Hangin' with Auntie Rira
Early one chilly morning
Cupcakes got up early one morning. Mama took her out for a walk, hoping that she'd take a nap in the stroller. There was no such luck. Cupcakes had her eyes wide open the whole time. In the first picture she might have had her eyes closed due to the bright sun. Did she have an attitude in the second pictures? haha It was super cold, but Cupcakes managed to stay warm. Her face and hands were still warm when we got inside. Underneath the blanket from Auntie Jane Cupcakes held a toothbrush the whole time. She likes her toothbrush.
We saw some duckies on the water close to home.

A clean plate
Cupcakes shows you her clean plate. Mama had sweet potato and broccoli on the plate, and Cupcakes reached to feed herself for the second time. Last time Mama was amazed that she picked up the little bits of grape up with her tiny fingers. She did not know to let go of the food yet. This time she put the food in her mouth beautifully. You did a great job, Cupcakes! There was not a speck left on the plate. Cupcakes has been a good eater so far - not picky.
Visiting with Eva
We visited with Uncle Nick, Auntie Jennifer and Eva Saturday afternoon. Eva shared her toys with Cupcakes. Thank you, Eva, and thank you Uncle Nick and Auntie Jennifer for your hospitality!
The girls have grown so much. Last time we took pictures of them they were leaning against each other and falling over one side. Eva is tall. Can you tell that she's five months younger than Cupcakes? You are a cutie, Eva!!

Hangin' with Auntie Boo
Auntie Boo came over to visit on her day off. After Cupcakes woke up from her nap, it took about a grape's time for Cupcakes to warm up to Auntie Boo. Auntie Boo read to Cupcakes and walked with her.
The "dreamy effect" in the second picture was made possible by Cupcakes' drool on the camera.
Cupcakes starts to fashion her new winter wardrobe. . .and she's also talking a lot more this week.

The Big Penguin
We visited with Uncle Brady and Auntie Boo.
The four of us (without Uncle Brady) set out for Cobs Bread for a free loaf of bread with a coupon that Auntie Boo had. We ran part of the way with Cupcakes in the Baby Bjorn, and running set Cupcakes giggling. We got there a few minutes after closing. A lady mouthed, "I am sorry. We are closed." Mama pointed at the coupon in the window while Daddy stood out of the way out of embarrassment, and the lady mouthed, "We are out of that." A guy came out with two loaves of another kind of bread for consolation. We left, happy to have our hands full. Cupcakes held Mama's loaf all the way back to Auntie Boo's.
Auntie Boo brought out The Big Penguin for Cupcakes to admire. Cupcakes looked at it with awe and then started laughing. She had a great time playing with The Big Penguin.
After we left Uncle Brady teased Auntie Boo about not offering Cupcakes The Big Penguin. Auntie Boo was tempted. Uncle Brady suggested that we probably would not have taken it. We could not have taken The Big Penguin from Auntie Boo, and we have very limited space. We had a great time with The Big Penguin. Thank you for your hospitality, Uncle Brady and Auntie Boo!
