Park before nap

After we had brunch, Daddy took Cups to the park before she had a nap.

Uncle Eric's treat

Uncle Eric was general manager on duty for the weekend. Thank you for the yummy treat, uncle!

In the car

Mama will treasure all the pictures taken (even if seemingly excessive at times) because nobody knows when she will start slacking on the picture taking. Maybe Cups will start taking (and posting?) them.

She let Mama take another picture when she found out that her face was covered up in the first one.

Mama visited with Auntie Kim, and Maleah kept Cups company while she played with Maleah's Little People.

To prolong Cups' birthday, Mama saved one birthday present.

Visiting Grandpa at the hosptial

Grandpa needed platelets and stayed at the hospital until he could build some more himself. The situation was a little grave. (Grandpa is home again at the posting of this blog!)



Uncle Chris tried to keep the atmosphere light at all times.

Trip to Richland

Grandpa spent a week in the hospital while his body built more platelets. We visited with him in the hospital and spent some time with Grandma. Uncle Chris helped Grandma put in a new flat screen TV for Grandpa and diffused the seriousness in the air a little.

Baby E is starting to eat sweets. She gave chocolate cake from Bakery Nouveau a try.

Teacher Peony decorated the Chinese classroom for Chinese New Year's. The kids made masks for the lion dance.

Jiejie & Meimei

Baby Elizabeth is starting to talk, and her first vocabulary includes jiejie (older sister) already. She calls Cups, "Jiejie, jiejie," when they play — so touching. They posed for a picture after we had lunch in India (Daddy's language for at an Indian restaurant).

Cups' Valentines

Mama found these Valentines from Oriental Trading where each kid gets a sheet of stickers and a sheet of background paper to put the stickers on. Cups had a great time, and the project looked cute when she was done.
