New Year's Eve

Cups formed a moon with a piece of bread.

Thank you for a great evening, Auntie Angela! Auntie Angela read stories that each girl got to pick out.

Dinner with Auntie Boo & Uncle Brady

While waiting for Mama to find a parking spot in Chinatown, Cups was given a bubble wrap to play with. She jumped up and down to pop the bubbles.

Cups gets the giggles a lot when she's with Auntie Boo.

Have a great time in San Diego, Auntie Boo and Uncle Brady!

Q

Cups played by herself while Mama busied herself with something. Cups pointed out to Mama that she had made a Q with all her coins. She did!

Then she asked Mama to take another picture when she could look up and smile. She then took away Q's tail. We asked her what that was. She said, "Doughnut," with the coin in the middle to make a hole.

Playing at Bellis Fair

Cups got to play quite a while in this indoor playground before we headed home.

Ice cream

Cups asked for bubbles, and she had ice cream. Mama wanted ice cream, and she had bubbles. Sigh.

Kaiten sushi

After we got off the plane, we took the bus downtown. While Daddy and Cups headed home, Mama went to work to take care of her continuing education requirement — due when the clock strikes midnight on 12/31. When Mama got home, we had Indian buffet at Royal India Grill for lunch. Cups and Mama headed up to Bellingham to visit with ahgong and ahma right afterwards.

The owner served Cups with a plate of strawberries in whipped cream. Thank you!

Cups making cookies

The evening was not over. It turns out that the dessert place we wanted to try closes early everyday. Auntie Jacque suggested making cookies at home. Cups helped shift flour and stir the dry ingredients. The cookies turned out pretty good. Good job, Auntie Jacque and Cups, haha!

Last day of our trip

After a while Cups liked to take Bear out with Auntie Jacque, and she always grabbed the leash on the way out (whether we needed it or not).

Auntie Jacque and Mama went out for a massage while Cups napped. We had lunch at Auntie Jacque's favorite diner to "start the day."

The dog park at sunset. . .

Cups and Bear got a lot of attention. They wanted to know who was walking whom.

We also stopped by REI, Target and JJ Fish and Chicken before we headed home. We spent the day doing leisurely things.

Half Moon Bay

In the morning Auntie Jacque gave Daddy and Mama massages. We then headed out to Half Moon Bay to go to the beach.

This is the entrance to the town.

We walked around and got hot drinks to warm up a little.

On the way to the car to go to the beach. . .

Cups laughed so hard when she realized that Bear had left the leash.

By the time we got to the beach it was already dark, but that did not prevent Auntie Jacque and Bear from playing hide and seek (ball).

Bear found it!

Auntie Tina and Uncle Matt met up with us at Flying Fish for dinner. Dinner was very yummy, and we learned about Auntie Tina's new business — The Cookie Drop. Congratulations, Auntie Tina! May your kitchen always be filled with fragrant cookies a different way to wish you much success with the business?!

Fun wet day in SF

Daddy had made plans to meet up with Uncle Mike and Auntie Nancy, so we went downtown on the BART. There was a BART station just a block from Auntie Jacque's place super convenient.

Macy's Christmas display. . .

We stopped by a store in Chinatown and got a poncho to cover Cups in the stroller that we borrowed from Auntie Jacque's neighbor. It would get foggy inside, and Mama would introduce some more fresh air by lifting up on the poncho a little. Cups didn't mind as it was better than getting wet. She got up to have her pants and socks changed when we stopped for some fresh-out-of-the-oven egg tarts that Auntie Nancy waited in line and got for us. They were very yummy, and Mama had never seen Cups take such big bites or eat so much.

Uncle Mike and Auntie Nancy pointed out some yummy Italian pastries to us. If you see this window display when you are in the Italian part of the town next time, you know you are in the right place.

We walked to Ghirardelli Square.

Cups was still passed out. (Mama thought she would give Cups some air during our hot chocolate break.)

We walked to the other end of the Fisherman's Wharf and walked back up to have dinner at The Stinking Rose. We were lucky that there was not a line. Roasted garlic for the rolls. . .

The roasted garlic in olive oil for the rolls. . .

Uncle Mike and Auntie Nancy treated dinner. Thank you very much for a scrumptious meal!

Mama liked the garlic streamers.

On the way home Uncle Mike and Auntie Nancy had a Christmas present for Cups. You are too kind!!

It was a Leapfrog puppy. Cups likes it a lot!

Thank you for a fun tour of town on foot, wonderful egg tarts, super fun and yummy dinner and all the accomodation!! We had a great time!!
