Celebrating
Uncle Chris is going to walk in his graduation ceremony for his master's in technical writing from UW. He asked Mama for candy leis.
While Mama worked on them, Cups asked for one. She eats a lot of junk food, but she is not allowed to eat candy. She says, "I can't eat candy because I have a cavity." Mama's been extra diligent about flossing Cups almost every night. In that sense her cavity turned out to be a blessing. Mama wasn't sure about Cups' wearing a candy lei, but she wore it for two whole days without asking whether she could eat the candy.
While Mama was busy, she got Cups involved with getting a birthday present ready for Georgia. We stamped the letters for Georgia randomly on the packaging, and Cups put chunky glitter on all the Gs. She did really well working on her own and spotting all the Gs. (Cups likes to wear her ballerina slippers in the house. Thank you, Auntie Angela!)
