The snow was thin in the walk path because Daddy had shoveled the night before.
Daycare was not open, so Mama got Cups ready to take her to work. Cups, cautious, has been a little trooper all her life — up to anything that comes up. We were lucky to have caught a bus within a few minutes of waiting. The bus ride took an hour and half to travel the seven miles downtown. The weather storm bonded people on the bus.
