It's a rare occasion for everyone to get together — with Uncle Mark and Auntie Brooke in Atlanta and Uncle Scott and Auntie Brooke in Honolulu and Mama and Daddy just too lazy. We celebrated Cupcakes' birthday early with the family! We missed you, Auntie Brooke and Kellan.
Everyone took pictures of Cups before we sang happy birthday.

Okay, here we go. Before everyone was ready, Mama brought the candle out and demonstrated blowing the candle out after singing the last two sentences of happy birthday. She did this a few times and wanted Cups to "practice." Cups just acted like she wasn't getting what Mama was talking about. One "happy birthday to you" into the song and Cups blew the candle out.
The second time around Cups knew to wait until the end of the song. She blew the candle right out. We relit it again for pictures, too. Good girl, Cups!
