Cups & Giant
Alki 5K
We got up before the sun rose that day to volunteer for the Alki 5K, hosted by Northwest Hope & Healing.
Cups played with her Mr. Potato Heads while everyone worked in an assembly line.
Cups got some water bottles from the Evergreen Home Loans table.
Our neighbors, Christina (mom) and Claire (daughter) came to walk.
Daddy in a log. . .
Aunties Cathy & Boo came to run.
Uncle William (visiting from LA) and Auntie Karen also volunteered.
Baby Elizabeth, Auntie Jeannie, Avery came to contribute to the spirit of the cause. . .
Daddy explained that Baby E's leaning away from him caused a sore lower back. He resolved the issue.
Cups was a great big sister. She let Baby E sit in her chair on the short way home.
She let Baby E play with Puppy and held her hand. She said, "Baby Elizabeth has small hands and fingers like me." Mama and Daddy were very proud of her big sisterly ways.

New QFC in West Seattle
Cups finally cooperated and posed for a picture with the QFC logo in the back and a lemon loaf sample in her hand. She was really happy about the treat all smiles until Mama asked for a picture, of course.

Volunteering for Trek Women's Triathlon
On the way to the Exhibition Hall at Seattle Center. . .
After checking in. . .
Cups hard at work for the Trek Women's Triathlon. She helped handing out the different colors of swim caps to these amazing women. One woman shared that she had just learned to swim ten months ago, and this is her second triathlon this summer.

Little time to play before school
This is the "fall" dress that Mama picked up for Cups in Minneapolis. Hindsight the material feels more like a summer dress still. However, the pants will help keep Cups warm on the cooler days.
Cups loves orange (and pink). This morning she found the baby orange highlighter that Mama brought home for her from her ethics CPE (continuing professional education) class. She decided that she'd like to draw a little before we left for school.

Our little monkey
Cups looked like she didn't have a good hold after Daddy gave her the first big shove. Mama then remembered not to worry since Cups has spent more than a year on the swings at Marji's.
Getting sillier by the day. . .
But having so much fun. . .
Cups' "new trick". . .
We dressed Cups up for the wading pool only to have learned the the pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day every year.

Mini golf in Interbay
Mama's work had a team building exercise at the mini golf course in Interbay. Everyone had a great time, and the scenery of the course was beautiful, especially with leaves changing colors.
Cups & ducky back pack
Cups is now big enough so that the ducky back pack fits well on her back when Mama crosses the straps. Cups was very excited to have the back pack on this morning. When Mama asked her to smile for the camera. She did and turned around for another picture.
Cups has figured out that she gets scrapes on her legs when she wears skirts to school, so now she asks to wear pants with dresses.
Happy birthday, ahma!!
