Cupcakes greeted Mama with a smile when Mama woke her up to get ready for daycare. Mama got Cupcakes changed for daycare before bedtime. Cupcakes spat up on the outfit in the middle of the night and then had a blow out in the morning. Two fresh outfits and a snack later. . .
This morning as we were getting ready it was funny to watch Cupcakes watch her own fist that intensely for the first time. Wherever her fist moved, her eyes followed.
I dropped Cupcakes off at 9 this morning, and I was surprised that I did not leave the daycare until 10. Time passes really fast when you watch little babies. It was a lot easier than I had imagined. Cupcakes was put down for tummy time pretty soon after we got there.
The main lady in the infant room, Vikki, loves babies a lot. They constantly watch to make sure that the babies don't hurt each other and themselves by accident. She tried feeding Cupcakes at 9:30 when Cupcakes whimpered, but Cupcakes didn't drink any of the breast milk in the bottle. Vikki said that she would try offering her the bottle around 10 before they left for their morning walk. Then if Cupcakes still didn't take the bottle at that time, they would heat it up extra warm and take the bottle on the walk with them in case she wanted it then.
Elspeth was busy cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast. There were two one-year olds at the table having breakfast when I got there. One mom packed strawberries and french toast, and the other mom packed banana and waffles. The babies dumped half of their french toast and waffles on the floor. Maci kept wanting to pat Cupcakes. Vikki told her to be gentle. Then Vikki held Cupcakes to play peek-a-boo with Carter, and that was funny to watch Carter get a kick out of it. Cupcakes is currently the youngest baby in the infant room until next week when another baby three weeks younger starts. In a short amount of time spent with Cupcakes, Vikki noticed that Cupcakes tries to sit up and may well become a talker, haha.
I brought everything they asked for, and I made a couple requests for Cupcakes' sensitive butt. Afterwards I went shopping, and it was overwhelming to have that much freedom. I went to Target to get baby/pet safe carpet cleaner and also stopped by Jamba Juice, Staples, Barnes & Nobles in Westwood Village. I finally came home to pump after having skipped a pumping session by accident.
After responding to an email I rushed to my appointment for an eye exam at Costco. I loved the new Dr. Chhim. After a short stop at the photo center and food court, it was time to come home to pump and blog before picking up Cupcakes. :) Oh, it is 3:53 - about time!
