Sick baby

Cupcakes and Mama got sick over the weekend. Cupcakes threw up at five. I think she was in the middle of swallowing some phlegm and didn't know how process the new object. Daddy got up to clean up. Mama kept Cupcakes from daycare today, figuring that it wouldn't serve the healthy kids for them to be around Cupcakes or Cupcakes for her to be around any sick children. (To help out the parents the daycare's policy is that sick children without a fever or lethargy can still go in.) Even with her congestion, Cupcakes was still able to nurse regularly and nap some. Mama was thankful for that.

Mama got her first chiropractic adjustment since Cupcakes' arrival. She felt like fossil. Uncle Jim passed by the clinic on the way to lunch. He came in to meet Cupcakes. For lunch we met with Auntie Boo for pho and bubble tea - no picture with Auntie Boo!

When Daddy got home from his first day at the new job, Cupcakes had some tummy time and read the papers with him.

With Cupcakes going to daycare, everyone is shifting schedule around. Daddy seems to be most affected. Daddy talked about looking for a new job when his old boss asked him to be in by 9am. He used to go to bed around 1am. Now he's going to bed at 9:30pm and getting to work by 8am!

Being sick did not stop Cupcakes from smiling all day. Mama will probably keep her home another day tomorrow. Her head continues to grow as now the pink flap of her yamaka (the one in pictures above) has to be folded down, and the yamaka now looks smaller on her than it did when the pink flap was up.
