Hand caught in the cracker tubberware
A life will never be dull with a child in it. Cupcakes started the evening having dried blueberries. Mama encouraged her to share with Uncle Chris. Perhaps she didn't understand Mama. Perhaps she was still trying to recognize Uncle Chris. Perhaps she liked her blueberries too much. We did get her to put one in Uncle Chris' mouth. (She didn't drop it voluntarily though.)
The open container of crackers was in front of Cupcakes, and all of a sudden she had a whole handful. Perhaps she was "digesting" how many she actually got a hold of, so she held them in the air without moving for a long time. Mama got a picture of Cupcakes having her hand caught with too many crackers in it. For the first time Cupcakes had crackers with hummus. Cupcakes had a lot of hummus tonight. Homemade hummus is one of her staples besides sweet potatoes and yam that Mama makes for her to take to daycare. Mama still supplements her food intake with some jarred baby vegetables and fruits. Hmmm. . .now that Mama is not working, she should look into expanding her repertoire for Cupcakes' daycare menu. (Auntie Lisa, that is Annika's magnet in Cupcakes' hand. She just loves pointing at any of the FIVE that we have at home, and now she enjoys holding and teething on the one she plays with.)
A few minutes into dinner Mama found Cupcakes standing on the armrest of the chair. What are you doing up there, acrobat? Cupcakes held on as long as she could. As small as she seems, she has quite a bit of a grip and kick and now arm strength. Even when her face turned red, she did not make a sound, just waiting quietly for help. She did make a grunting sound, asking for help getting down, the second time. Mama thought that Cupcakes was lower on arm strength by the second AND third time - silly girl. Mama has always found Auntie Lisa's ability to chat and pay attention to her children AMAZING! Kids do crazy things, hahahahahahah.
