After a long day on Thursday Cupcakes slept all Friday after Mama settled down. I called the home day care in West Seattle that told me that Cupcakes would be able to start on 5/3 to confirm and schedule a visit. She told me that she wouldn't be able to take Cupcakes until August. I called quite a few daycares downtown, and many of them have a two-year waiting list. Mama called Grandma, and Grandma offered to take care of Cupcakes as long as necessary. Things happen for a reason, and Mama decided not to continue the worrying about the daycare situation but will continue to search for a good place for Cupcakes.
Mama and Daddy took Cupcakes out for a walk in the late afternoon on a warm day! It was so warm that a lot of people had short sleeves on. Cupcakes smiled and laughed so much on the walk. It was a lot of fun to watch her. When she had a breeze hit her face for the first time, she was surprised and seemed to drink it in! Mama went a little picture crazy, but we need cute pictures for the blog!
We went up to Bellingham to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Friday night. We stopped in the DQ parking lot in Marysville on the way to feed Cupcakes. Daddy took the chance to get a blizzard, and Cupcakes checked out the ice cream cake selection for her first birthday after her feeding. By the time we got to Bellingham it was late, and Cupcakes was ready for bed.
Saturday Cupcakes slept in, and Grandma and Grandpa took care of Cupcakes while Mama and Daddy ran some errands in the afternoon. I did not think about it, but afternoon was Grandma's sleepiest time from jet lag. Cupcakes was hungry while Mama was away and cried. Grandma was still able to give Cupcakes some water with a spoon to tide her over. (If anyone can train Cupcakes to take a bottle, it may be Grandma.) However, she did call Cupcakes a difficult baby - oh, no! baby.
When Cupcakes sleeps, she does not need to eat. Mama got new clogged milk ducts on both sides. To prevent the situation from worsening I pumped and managed to freeze 3 oz and 4 oz of milk - wow, supply for when Mama goes back to work! Thank you, Auntie Thao, for the bags, and thank you, Auntie Jeannie, for the encouragement to start freezing! I had fun freezing milk.
Sunday morning Cupcakes sat in a chair like a big girl. Auntie Tonya and Uncle Kai came to visit Cupcakes. We took a walk. Mama had fun visiting. Due to her parental amnesia she can't remember Cupcakes behaviors that day. Mama looks forward to visiting with Auntie Tonya and Uncle Kai again soon, and Cupcakes looks forward to seeing their pictures from Spain when they return from their trip. Sunday evening Cupcakes seemed especially alert when she looked around, still smiling a lot.
Monday morning Cupcakes relaxed in front of the window before she, Mama and Daddy visited Paideia Academy, a Montessori for infants through pre-schoolers/kindergartners, with encouragement from the director. The director introduced the Montessori system (very hands-on learning) to Mama and Daddy. The place was neat and close to Mama's work. The director commented that with Cupcakes' full head of hair and degree of alertness, she could have passed for six months old. Afterwards Cupcakes shopped at Costco with Mama and Daddy and slept for the rest of the day. Mama did squeeze in some reading between naps and bedtime.
I got a list of daycares in West Seattle from Child Care Resources. I will continue the search. :)

Day full of visits
This morning Cupcakes and Mama visited with Auntie Jeannie and five-weeks-old Baby Aiken in Issaquah Highlands. Baby Aiken was cute! Auntie Jeannie was a great hostess and showed Mama some baby care tips. Thank you for your hospitality and a fun visit, Auntie Jeannie! We'll see you for the next play date next week!
Baby Aiken is still young, so Mama did not have the heart to use flash on him. (Yes, but she would use the flash on Cupcakes left and right since she was little.) Some tell me that they can't remember when their kids were as small as Cupcakes. I can't remember when Cupcakes was as small as Aiken. Cupcakes is definitely heavier this week that I am having trouble raising her into the air.
Cupcakes and Mama got home at three-thirty. Cupcakes was due for feeding at four, but she slept until Mama woke her up at five. I was really lucky because that allowed me to nap for an hour and half when I was very tired.
Later when Daddy got home we got ready to head to Bothell for Daddy to help a friend set up DSL connection. Cupcakes and Mama visited with Uncle Steve, Auntie Angela and Cousin Sarah in the neighborhood. When we got there we watched Cousin Sarah finish her fun bath - with toys and all - and get a beauty treatment (lotion and hair drying) from her Daddy and Mama. Afterwards Cousin Sarah showed Cupcakes her playroom. She wanted Cupcakes on the swing with her. We had her hold Cupcakes sitting on the floor instead. Cousin Sarah was very loving. She's going to be a great big sister to her little sister arriving in May. Later Cupcakes lied down with Cousin Sarah for night-night. As Cupcakes and Mama waited for Daddy to come pick them up, Auntie Angela helped clean up Cupcakes' milk that came back up and Mama's spilling of water. Thank you, Uncle Steve, Auntie Angela and Cousin Sarah, for your hospitality!

She's a funny baby.
For Wednesday. . .
This morning I couldn't get up. I finally had to sit up for a feeding. By then Daddy had burped Cupcakes and changed her twice. Daddy had her sitting up in bed next to me, and she smiled and laughed about six consecutive times. I didn't have my glasses on, so I couldn't really see. I still got the idea that she was smiling and laughing. When she laughs, she tilts her head back. It's the funniest thing!
Oh no! Her face was super clear yesterday. Her grandma is coming home from Taiwan today, and she's got red dots all over her face. What happened?! I didn't do anything!! (Or could it have been the many potato chips that I had?)
I am the worst singer in the world, and all I have to say is that this little audience is not complaining, haha!
In the afternoon Cupcakes went with Mama to take Grandma and Grandpa's car in for a wash, shopped quickly at Costco, visited with Daddy's friends at work and purchased some chocolates at Target. Grandma Marci tried to wake Cupcakes up when she'd be asleep when she was smaller. Today Cupcakes needed to be fed, and Grandma Marci smothered her with kisses to try to get her pissed off. Nope! Cupcakes did not fuss. Cupcakes was tired by the time we got to Target. She slept a little before her bath and Uncle Michael's arrival.
After dinner Uncle Michal and Daddy played with Cupcakes for a while before we went to the airport to visit with Grandma and Grandpa for a little bit before everyone called it a night. Cupcakes was so tired that she fell asleep in Grandma's arms right away.

She's smiling!
How do babies know that smiling is a socially pleasant thing? I make it a point to not smile around her, so she did not pick up smiling from me. It's just been the funniest thing to see her smile super big at people that I've talked to the last two days.
She seems so much bigger to me this week. I told her this morning that she'll have to learn to walk soon because I won't be able to carry her soon enough. It will be fun to get her weight and height measurements next week at the doctor's office.
The long weekend tired her out. Cupcakes slept ALL day Monday. We had dinner at Auntie Penny's. Cupcakes slept through dinner and woke up to play with Auntie Penny and Uncle Michael a little before bedtime. We are working towards a bedtime routine. I've noticed that Cupcakes likes to suck a while longer during feeding at bedtime. However, my body has interpreted that as her needing more milk. It makes more, and Cupcakes ends up consuming too much milk. It comes back up. Sorry about the couch, Auntie Penny! Our couch got hit tonight but not as badly. It then makes sense that Daddy kept the upholstery cleaner next to the sofa.
Today we had lunch with Auntie Debbie. Thank you for the treat, Debbie - a real break from frozen food, hee. The two hours went by really fast. Cupcakes was good and then slept the rest of the afternoon. Auntie Debbie called her a content baby. Hearing that and seeing all the recent smiles made me feel like I am doing okay. I just always thought that John would make the more loving parent. We can both be loving in our own ways. I also thought that maybe the baby would bond with John more so that she would go to John for everything - yes! With breastfeeding that is not happening yet. I'll continue to work on that strategy as she grows. (Please excuse the "Frances look" as Uncle Michael would call it. She woke up from her nap for the picture.)
Before Daddy got home Cupcakes watched Mama put stamps on envelopes of thank-you cards, and she seemed to have enjoyed that - smiled a lot. She also watched Mama cook in her pink chair.
Daddy tried to give her the bottle around eight without much luck. She started with smiles and ended with tears. I guess even when she sucks on the bottle, she doesn't swallow. By the time Daddy gets home she's probably too tired to be practicing with the bottle. Mama will try during the day.
Today I finally got a hold of the lady that manages the waiting list at the daycare in the WaMu Tower and found out that even though we are first in line, there are two moms having second babies. It will be January 2008 before they have an opening unless someone leaves. How did we manage to miss it by one spot? I can regret not having signed up earlier or believe that everything works out for a reason, haha. We'll be checking out the home daycare in West Seattle.
Thank you for reading and posting/emailing comments. You, especially Auntie Cristina, keep me motivated, hee!
Today is Cupcakes' two-month birthday - so soon! And I'll be back at work in three and half weeks - all too soon - and I thought I'd be bored staying home with the baby!

Party on!
Cupcakes had a full weekend. Friday she went to a Stampin' Up stamp camp with Mama in Everett. Auntie Kim's new house was very nice. Cats checked Cupcakes out while she napped in the car seat, and Maleah watched her when she came home from school. Mama made Cupcakes a luggage tag for the pump bag with her initials. C in Cupcakes is not in the initials though?! Friday evening Cupcakes made a quick trip to the Southcenter for the first time.
Saturday morning Mama had to go back to the mall to conduct unfinished business. Cupcakes cried three times and fell back asleep the same number of times. Even though Daddy had a bottle at home and Cupcakes took it beautifully last time, once we wait until Cupcakes cries out of hunger, it's all over. The tear ducts in her right eye have been fully developed, so tears just swell up in her eye when she cries, hee. Later Uncles Eric and Chris came over to hang out. We walked to Coyote on Alki for happy hour. Cupcakes had Mexican food for the first time.
As soon as we got back Cupcakes had a diaper change, and we headed out to go to Uncle Peter's going away party. Uncle Peter moves to France for a job in an international lab on Monday. Grandma Eleanor and Uncle Peter prepared a spread. Everyone enjoyed the food and Auntie Elizabeth's made-from-scratch very yummy tiramisu. Aunties Evelyne and Lydie spent time loving Cupcakes. Auntie Elizabeth even drew France on the tiramisu for the occasion. Some people salsa danced beautifully at the party before the party moved to a ballroom downtown. Cupcakes was the last one to leave the party. She enjoyed chatting with Grandma Eleanor.
Sunday Cupcakes slept in for having stayed out until midnight the night before. (Cupcakes has not cried for several nights at/before bedtime.) She was still tired as she had no trouble falling asleep for her naps and slept especially soundly. Mama woke Cupcakes up every three hours to nurse in the middle of the night. Mama fell asleep on the sofa with Cupcakes in her arms, and Cupcakes woke Mama up for nursing, putting herself back on track during the day. In the afternoon she had fun hanging out with Auntie Brooke and Uncles Eric and Chris. We called Uncle Scott to wish him happy birthday, and she sang "Taking care of business. . .in my pants!" for him. Pizza was good at Pegasus, but it was sad that the ice cream machine was broken at Tully's. Good times are never long enough as Auntie Brooke and Uncle Chris had to go all too soon. Come back soon, Auntie Brooke and Uncle Chris! Oh, wait, Uncle Chris will be back soon.
Sometime during the weekend I asked John to distract Cupcakes while I cut her toe nails. Her free foot stepped on my cheek - lovely. Everything is cute and funny when they are so small though.
Cupcakes wrapped up the weekend with tummy time.
Cupcakes continues to be the goodster that those of you who have met her know her to be - "quiet as a peep" at the different parties and restaurants and while Mama was on the phone this weekend. Mama and Daddy are lucky!
I spoke too early. Cupcakes cried last night, and Daddy is getting better about settling her down when she is overly tired. She has slept all Monday morning to catch up on her beauty rest.

A restful day at home
I had planned on taking Cupcakes to visit Auntie Yvonne with some chocolate chip cookies today, but I had a good scare of new tiny red bumps all over her face except in the cheeks around 4am this morning. I canceled the plan so that she could just take it easy at home. She napped well and slept on the sofa - instead of wanting to be held most of the previous two days.
Auntie Liz called in response to my SOS regarding the bumps. After deliberation she suggested that I call the doctor's office. The nurse returned my call and told me not to worry unless the bumps were purple or in streaks - just what the resources online stated. Around noon the redness disappeared, and I took a breath. I freaked out again about 4pm when the redness came back, and she got new tiny bumps on her right cheek additionally this time. Thankfully John came home soon afterwards. It's just good to not be home alone when freaking out. By early evening the redness disappeared again.
Late afternoon Cupcakes nursed and started napping. I had to change her and woke her up in the process. I was surprised that she wasn't upset. In fact, when I looked up from freaking out over her new bumps, I found her smiling big at me - what a sweetheart.
I called the YMCA daycare at the Tower to see whether Cupcakes would be able to get in for May, but I didn't get a call back today. However, there is good news. With a slower flow rate bottle nipple, Cupcakes drank the milk from a bottle with an excellent latch - yay! I relieve myself from one of my concerns! She did not cry at bedtime. That's another small victory. We are still working on this one. (At bedtime she is drinking from both sides instead of just one. Maybe she's growing!)
Mama did not assemble the bottle very well, so milk dripped all over Cupcakes. I changed her into a new night gown from Grandpa and Grandma Chiang-Lin. She looked very cute with her little feet sticking out. (Cupcakes, watch out for Aunties Amanda and Cristina with this outfit!) Shortly before bedtime she sat in her pink chair, watching me fold laundry. I named each piece for her, and she watched the whole time. She looked away only when I finished, and she turned around again for a picture.
The last couple of days she has been grasping her hair. During a middle of the night diaper change she shrieked. It was a cry of sharp pain. I looked and quickly discovered that she had pulled her hair without knowing to let go - poor baby. When she's held onto her hair again, I've loosened her grasp, telling her that it can hurt. Hopefully she'll learn to stop soon.

Lather it on at bedtime?!
Last night Cupcakes started crying early at 8:30pm. We tried comforting her and telling her that she started too early. It was not 9pm yet! We thought that she might have had night terrors, where babies wake up not fully awake and not recognizing where they are and whom they are with. We told her to open her eyes. She did, and that helped. I tried feeding her. That calmed her a bit, and telling her to continue to keep her eyes open seemed to continue to help between nursing sessions! We suspected that she might be a little sick with no obvious symptoms others than a little stuffed up nose and more redness in her face. I thought they were just pimples, and John thought that it could have been an allergic reaction. I nursed her about three times the next hour before she finally calmed down to fall asleep. (I forgot that I wasn't having dairy and had chocolate chip cookies. I cut out citrus which seemed to have been causing allergy on her butt. I didn't want to test dairy, but now we are.)
She just woke me up for her first feeding for the night. She had a diaper rash that was more widespread than the usual. I checked the clock, and it has been five hours since she fell asleep! (The diaper was heavy!) Minding Auntie Liz's advice about not nursing her to sleep to avoid having to nurse every time I put her in bed, I am hoping that she continues her trend of not nursing unless she's hungry. I wonder whether the bigger dose of milk from the three feedings helped her sleep longer. I wonder whether I cut her off a little early now and whether she's really still drinking when she sucks for longer than 20 minutes. (When she was younger the doctor said that they are just sucking after 20 minutes - to do it if I had time and wanted to.) She's been growing well with short nursing sessions, so I haven't questioned. However, she has been nursing more frequently the last two days with the short nursing sessions. (She's still nursing while I blog. I put her to bed, and she had asked to be burped twice. I just fly back in the bedroom when I hear her since I volunteered to be on night duty while on maternity leave. To let John sleep I brought her out in the living room for burping. She signaled that she wanted more milk when I thought that she was done before I changed her. There is always something to figure out about the little one.)
Auntie Angela had shared the secret of lathering a protective layer on before bedtime because her baby now sleeps through the night. Maybe that's what I do if she started sleeping for longer periods?! I have her covered for the next stretch.
I was still working on the bottle and bedtime crying. Now I have diaper rash to figure out, too, haha. I welcome your feedback.
She is now done feeding. I took a picture of her sleeping in my lap for the blog. Now I'll tuck my little monkey back in bed. (She won't need burping now that she's deep asleep. I woke her up earlier washing her butt, and that caused the need for burping.)

Baby and Mama
Many many people have told me that Cupcakes looks like me in pictures, and many have said that she looks like John in person. (I win with many many because more of you have seen her in pictures than in person.) For fun I decided to throw out my pride and post these just-out-of-the-bed pictures of Cupcakes and me to see if you still think that we look alike.
The last couple of days Cupcakes has been nursing more often during the day and wanting to be held more. She is either a little bit under the weather, which I don't think so. Or maybe she is growing, and I haven't kept the house warm enough. (Babies are smart. They ask to be held when the environment is not as warm as they like it.) There is always the uncertainty with babies since they can't talk. It's now 6:30pm, and she's gotten herself back on the feeding schedule - amazing. It's fun to watch her sleep, and it's heart-warming to have her snuggle up on me.
Today is one sad day. I found out that Cupcakes did not make it in the daycare at the WaMu Tower for April. I called other daycares, and some have a two-year waiting list. Writing about this now gave me the idea that maybe she can make it in for May. I shall call and find out tomorrow. The home daycare in West Seattle wouldn't take her until 5/3 anyhow. I'd love the convenience of taking her in on the bus with me and picking her up on the way home. This may not be sad after all. I admit that I've been a little stressed about this all day.
On Monday Cupcakes found the two bows on each side of her chest that have been on these sleepers since four weeks ago. She held and felt it as she nursed, depending on which side she had a free hand - growing everyday!

On Monday Cupcakes found the two bows on each side of her chest that have been on these sleepers since four weeks ago. She held and felt it as she nursed, depending on which side she had a free hand - growing everyday!

Tough life
Mama gets online in the morning, and Cupcakes keeps Mama company in the living room after waking up. Thank you, Uncle Ned and family, for the pink chair. (Cupcakes is still too young to play with all the cute/cool toys that hang from the mobile that goes over the chair.)
Weather was so gorgeous on Monday that Cupcakes took two walks - one in the afternoon in the stroller with Mama and one in the evening in the Baby Bjorn with Daddy and Mama. She frowned in the sun. Life of the Cupcakes can be so difficult at times. (Pollen count must be up. My eyes are very itchy after I come in from taking walks. Cupcakes cried because I wiped her face and hands with a cold towel after our walk today!) During the evening walk we saw sandpipers running along the edge of the water. They are so small and fast - the cutest things.
Thank you for your suggestions, advice and sharing of experiences about giving Cupcakes the bottle and getting her to bed!! We've been giving her the Avent bottle. We tried the Dr Brown bottle last night, and she stopped after 1 oz. With the bottle she has only taken an oz each time so far. After a little bit more research it seems that the flow rate of the bottle nipple on the Avent bottle might have been too fast for her with the dribbling and gagging. Today I got her some with a slower flow rate. I am hopeful that this will work out. With bedtime she continues to cry about nine or nine-thirty without a watch. Crying makes it tricky to put her to sleep because she then gets very gassy and needs to be burped. I've found that when she stops crying, I am able to nurse her. She calms down, and we are able to put her in her crib awake. At that point she's able to fall asleep on her own. For the rest of the night she's on the clock, waking up every three hours for nursing. Then everything goes back on track, haha. Perhaps we'll be able to synchronize one of her feedings with her bedtime.
I've really enjoyed your emails and comments. I'm glad that I can keep in touch with you via the blogs. :D
Love, compliments, good wishes and love continue to stream in. Cupcakes is one well loved baby. Thank you!!

My first time at church
Cupcakes went to church and met new uncles and aunties on Sunday. Uncle Scott was very kind to have shown us to the new nursery and moved the stroller down the stairs for us. Aunties Eunice and Angela helped take care of Cupcakes by showing Mama the changing table, holding Cupcakes from time to time, showing Mama how to use the diaper giene, affirming the redness on Cupcakes butt was in fact a diaper rash (which disappeared by last night - yay) and sharing tips and experiences of caring for babies. Auntie Eunice and Uncle Jeremy's five-month-old Naomi was super cute. Mama will get a picture of her next time. Cousin Sarah was very affectionate and came over to give Cupcakes a kiss. Mama wanted a picture, but Cousin Sarah doesn't know to hold a pose yet. We ended up waking Cupcakes up from her nap with too many kisses, ha.
I was most excited that Cupcakes did not cry for an hour last night - yay! Auntie Eunice and Uncle Jeremy suggested that perhaps Cupcakes was crying to get rid of excess energy before bedtime. (I've read that!) So Mama carried Cupcakes while doing chores to keep Cupcakes awake and gave Cupcakes some tummy time to burn some energy. That worked for one evening. We'll try this again tonight.
Cupcakes asked for an additional feeding while we were at church. That bought me an additional hour before we had to head home for the next feeding. Smart baby or coincidence?! I dropped by Baby Gap and picked up some socks for outfits with pants. The socks had stripes of different shades of pink which are just perfect for Cupcakes' pink wardrobe. (Her little brother may be wearing pink if we get cheap.)
After Cupcakes' 4pm feeding we went out for a walk in the warmer weather. Cupcakes again slept the whole way. We could see mountains with snow caps! We bumped into Uncle Nick on the walk!
Cupcakes now holds Mama's fingers more often, and she smiled so many times this morning!

Partying with Uncle Tim
Cupcakes is a funny baby. Some of her hiccups sound like TiVo's fast forwarding.
After her 9am diaper change this morning she let Mama wash her hair, change her clothes and clean her face, getting ready to meet everyone at church for the first time and went back to sleep while waiting to leave. (I'll ask her to pull her right leg out and left leg out of the outift for diaper changes, and she does with some assistance. I am the Mama, so I see my baby as a smart little cookie, haha.) Uh-oh, Daddy brought her out to the living room while he was getting ready, and Cupcakes has been awake since.
She still wakes up every three hours for milk and diaper change in the middle of the night like clock work and goes right back to sleep after light burping with help from Mama and a little more on her own in bed. I am getting used to getting up in the middle of the night. However, I have my tired days. During one of those nights when she made noises to let me know to feed her, I got up, burped her and rocked her back to sleep. A few minutes after she fell back asleep I realized that she wanted to nurse, and I woke her up again. For the earlier feeding that night I changed her and realized that I had not fed her yet just before tucking her back in bed.
Yesterday (Saturday) turned out to be a relatively warm day. Cupcakes went on a walk with Mama and Daddy. She was tired from lack of napping most of the day and slept the whole way.
Cupcakes attended Uncle Tim's birthday party in the evening. Auntie Robin's cooking was very delish, and everyone had a great time at the party. Grandpa and Grandma Chiang-Lin spent time loving Cupcakes. Cupcakes cried her one hour starting at nine. We had thought that she was crying everyday this past week because she hated bedtime. She'll start crying at nine even when we are not putting her to bed yet. Last night we got home after midnight, and she went to bed without a peep. Does this make sense to anyone? (She gives out a wah every second, so she wah's 3600x in an hour. Some wah's are longer, and don't worry - she catches up with shorter wah's.) Cousin Sarah was the cutest and sweetest. She helped me carry my purse out. Uncle Tim was very protective, and we finally got him to let us take a picture of him and Cupcakes with the flash. Cupcakes, the well loved one, came home with more new clothes and a toy. Thank you, Grandpa and Grandma Chiang-Lin and Auntie Angela and Uncle Steve!
Cupcakes just stood on Mama for about 10-15 seconds with spotting this morning!

I had rain.
In the Costco parking lot last night we saw Cupcakes closing and moving her mouth. She had rain - cutest!
At dinner Cupcakes still had trouble with the bottle, so Daddy fed her with a cup (aka bottle cap). Auntie Kim tried feeding her with the bottle because she took the bottle from Auntie Kim just a couple weeks ago. What happened?! From the cup she had the half oz leftover from the morning, and she had some more from the milk machine.
Cupcakes got tired after her bath this morning but couldn't fall asleep on her own as she normally can during the day. Mama carried her in the Baby Bjorn while doing chores, and she stayed asleep until Mama tried to put her down.

We tried the bottle again.
Yay - Cupcakes' second allergy rash is gone this morning! I am still figuring out what she is allergic to that I consume.
Cupcakes tried the bottle again before she was too hungry this morning. She drank about 10cc, and another 10cc dribbled. She was a good sport and even smiled at the beginning. Somewhere in the middle she questioned, "Evil Stepmother, what have you done with my mama and her booboos?" We stopped when she started crying. I tried to encourage her by telling her that she would need to learn for daycare days. She is still having a difficult time taking the bottle, but she looked cute in her new outfit with a matching bib and a cute bunny on her back. (She used to think that it was feeding time when I poked her cheek with my nose. Now she ignores me because she knows it's just my nose poking her cheek.)
Now that she can hold her neck, she is learning to stand with help. She can now stand on her own for 3-4 seconds (with spotting). She can also roll halfway - bad news for mama.
By noon I've changed her diaper once, fed her, read to her and held her. This is essentially all that I do during the day. I asked myself this morning how this has not gotten old. She's now seven weeks old, and I've taken care of her on my own for four weeks. It hasn't yet! With a more developed digestive system I haven't had to burp much this week, freeing up time for me to surf the web, nap and create/maintain the lifeofthecupcakes blog.
We are working on securing her a daycare spot, checking out a home daycare in West Seattle and checking for availability with the YMCA daycare in the WaMu Tower. (We are #2 on the waiting list for April! Cupcakes will get in if the other person doesn't want the spot anymore.) We are ultimately hoping to have a spot downtown to make drop-off and pick-up easy.
