Cupcakes went to church and met new uncles and aunties on Sunday. Uncle Scott was very kind to have shown us to the new nursery and moved the stroller down the stairs for us. Aunties Eunice and Angela helped take care of Cupcakes by showing Mama the changing table, holding Cupcakes from time to time, showing Mama how to use the diaper giene, affirming the redness on Cupcakes butt was in fact a diaper rash (which disappeared by last night - yay) and sharing tips and experiences of caring for babies. Auntie Eunice and Uncle Jeremy's five-month-old Naomi was super cute. Mama will get a picture of her next time. Cousin Sarah was very affectionate and came over to give Cupcakes a kiss. Mama wanted a picture, but Cousin Sarah doesn't know to hold a pose yet. We ended up waking Cupcakes up from her nap with too many kisses, ha.
I was most excited that Cupcakes did not cry for an hour last night - yay! Auntie Eunice and Uncle Jeremy suggested that perhaps Cupcakes was crying to get rid of excess energy before bedtime. (I've read that!) So Mama carried Cupcakes while doing chores to keep Cupcakes awake and gave Cupcakes some tummy time to burn some energy. That worked for one evening. We'll try this again tonight.
Cupcakes asked for an additional feeding while we were at church. That bought me an additional hour before we had to head home for the next feeding. Smart baby or coincidence?! I dropped by Baby Gap and picked up some socks for outfits with pants. The socks had stripes of different shades of pink which are just perfect for Cupcakes' pink wardrobe. (Her little brother may be wearing pink if we get cheap.)
After Cupcakes' 4pm feeding we went out for a walk in the warmer weather. Cupcakes again slept the whole way. We could see mountains with snow caps! We bumped into Uncle Nick on the walk!
Cupcakes now holds Mama's fingers more often, and she smiled so many times this morning!
