Party on!

Cupcakes had a full weekend. Friday she went to a Stampin' Up stamp camp with Mama in Everett. Auntie Kim's new house was very nice. Cats checked Cupcakes out while she napped in the car seat, and Maleah watched her when she came home from school. Mama made Cupcakes a luggage tag for the pump bag with her initials. C in Cupcakes is not in the initials though?! Friday evening Cupcakes made a quick trip to the Southcenter for the first time.

Saturday morning Mama had to go back to the mall to conduct unfinished business. C
upcakes cried three times and fell back asleep the same number of times. Even though Daddy had a bottle at home and Cupcakes took it beautifully last time, once we wait until Cupcakes cries out of hunger, it's all over. The tear ducts in her right eye have been fully developed, so tears just swell up in her eye when she cries, hee. Later Uncles Eric and Chris came over to hang out. We walked to Coyote on Alki for happy hour. Cupcakes had Mexican food for the first time.

As soon as we got
back Cupcakes had a diaper change, and we headed out to go to Uncle Peter's going away party. Uncle Peter moves to France for a job in an international lab on Monday. Grandma Eleanor and Uncle Peter prepared a spread. Everyone enjoyed the food and Auntie Elizabeth's made-from-scratch very yummy tiramisu. Aunties Evelyne and Lydie spent time loving Cupcakes. Auntie Elizabeth even drew France on the tiramisu for the occasion. Some people salsa danced beautifully at the party before the party moved to a ballroom downtown. Cupcakes was the last one to leave the party. She enjoyed chatting with Grandma Eleanor.

Sunday Cupcakes slept in for having stayed out until midnight the night before. (Cupcakes has not cried for several nights at/before bedtime.) She was still tired as she had no trouble falling asleep for her naps and slept especially soundly. Mama woke Cupcakes up every three hours to nurse in the middle of the night. Mama fell asleep on the sofa with Cupcakes in her arms, and Cupcakes woke Mama up for nursing, putting herself back on track during the day. In the afternoon she had fun hanging out with Auntie Brooke and Uncles Eric and Chris. We called Uncle Scott to wish him happy birthday, and she sang "Taking care of business. . .in my pants!" for him. Pizza was good at Pegasus, but it was sad that the ice cream machine was broken at Tully's. Good times are never long enough as Auntie Brooke and Uncle Chris had to go all too soon. Come back soon, Auntie Brooke and Uncle Chris! Oh, wait, Uncle Chris will be back soon.

Sometime during the weekend I asked John to distract Cupcakes while I cut her toe nails. Her free foot stepped on my cheek - lovely. Everything is cute and funny when they are so small though.

Cupcakes wrapped up the weekend with tummy time.

Cupcakes continues to be the goodster that those of you who have met her know her to be - "quiet as a peep" at the different parties and restaurants and while Mama was on the phone this weekend. Mama and Daddy are lucky!

I spoke too early. Cupcakes cried last night, and Daddy is getting better about settling her down when she is overly tired. She has slept all Monday morning to catch up on her beauty rest.
